This picture was inspired by my trip to Provence. There really are fields of wheat and lavender, and wild fields overgrown with all kinds of wildflowers. It's just that this contrast is so bright and shading one another. Bright lavender against the background of a visually monolithic field of wheat. `Only close examination, you can distinguish individual spikelets. Two rippling seas, one lilac purple and the other golden yellow. They have a dialogue or gossip, or maybe sing a lullaby. This quiet whispering is soothing.
