Thistle, this painting was painted after my walk in a nature reserve in the Golan Heights this spring. It was a cloudy and rainy day, we had to return home, but we decided to take a walk in the marvelous places where the fairy tale begins. Thickets of lush vegetation, completely inaccessible, and above all this, thorny and enchantingly beautiful thistles rise above all this. Against the background of a gray sky, violet crimson inflorescences, the size of a palm, or even larger. The stems are so powerful that even a strong wind cannot shake them. They stand like sentries protecting untouched beauty. Right behind them there is a steep cliff, and at the very bottom there is a waterfall, it is almost invisible. The wind is so strong that it blows the water away, forming a blue-white cloud. Very beautiful and menacing at the same time! Acrylic paint on canvas.
